Covid 19 (Coronavirus) Updates and Information
Toronto Eye Surgery has decided under the guidance of the Australian and NSW government, and The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists to see all patients again. Where patients feel uncomfortable about attending appointments, you may delay your appointment if you deem your eye condition and vision to be stable.
All elective eye surgery has recommenced. There may be a small waiting time as we try to clear the backlog.
Appointments will be spaced out throughout the day to minimise interpersonal contact. There is increased daily cleaning of the practice. We encourage hand sanitiser use to entry into the practice. Your temperature will be checked on arrival. We encourage the use of face masks where you have one available. The practice seats have been spaced, some have been placed outside the practice to allow for social distancing. We encourage you to pay with a credit card, to avoid handling cash.
If you have an emergency and cannot reach us, please contact your optometrist, GP or the eye registrar at John Hunter Hospital (02 4921 3000)
We understand that this COVID-19 outbreak will inevitably affect your life in many ways. Please stay safe and follow the instructions from the Australian Government. This inconvenience will be over sooner if we all work together.
